Why’s it important to get a rescue dog, as opposed to one from a breeder or puppy mill or pet store? Because millions of dogs and cats were killed in the US last year alone—there weren’t enough folks who cared to adopt them instead of going to pet stores or breeders. And now, with the bushed economy gone pop, shelters across the country have been overflowing. And when their cups runneth over, they have to put the pups and cats to sleep. Video:

    Once again, he demonstrates that he will set an example for the rest of us to follow… he started Thursday with parent/teacher conferences, and now he is foregoing an expensive purebred to save a life in a shelter. Great job!!!! 🙂
