The Uniqueness of Humans

“If a rat is a good model for your emotional life, you’re in big trouble.” ~ Robert Sapolsky

In this amazing talk Robert Sapolsky skillfully illustrates the amazing potential of human beings. He is as charismatic and funny as he is intelligent. Sapolsky is also featured in the National Geographic documentary “Stress: A Portrait of a Killer.” You can find an excerpt from this film below the featured video. His work has led to amazing insights, not only into the precipitating dynamics and disastrous consequences of a stressful life, but also into the organic self-existing dynamics of a fulfilling and sustainable life-style.

In the featured video below, Sapolsky speaks “about the uniqueness of humans in relation to the rest of the animal world…” He covers such topics as: “aggression, theory of mind, the golden rule and pleasure.”
