Have you ever contemplated your purpose for being born?

I mean have you truly wondered what you were doing here and wished you could discover the answers that were burning in your mind and heart?

I know I did, many many times. As they say, what you put your focus and attention on grows, creates and magnetizes your reality.

Perhaps that is the reason somewhere along the journey, the answers started to reveal themselves and it became completely apparent – all signs, circumstances and events started pointing in a certain direction and I could not deny the intricately woven fabric of details that made up the story of my life existence.

This happened to me a few years ago, after many traumas followed by years of deep yoga, healing and meditation experiences.

So, being a yoga teacher, I wrote a book about it.

It’s called, “Journey to Joyful” and it is one of the greatest accomplishments of my life so far.

You can watch this short video to hear a little about Journey to Joyful and what type of information it contains.

To be completely honest, it wasn’t easy.

Giving Birth is Painful Ecstasy

I’m sure if you’ve had children, you can relate to this analogy. If not, then any project that took your heart, soul and life force energy for a year or more is absolutely comparable.

Giving birth to this book was one of the most painful and rewarding processes. But when your soul has a message that needs to be shared, the body will work tirelessly to make it happen and with the clear intention to help others live a better life and, with the true details of my story, to inspire them to reach higher and dive deeper to ‘suck the marrow from life’ as Throeau would say. The reward came when the feedback and testimonials started flowing in from readers around the world.

The book was just released on and Barnes and Noble yesterday and I’m starting to realize this is more then just a book.

Journey to Joyful is a Movement

Journey to Joyful  has become a spiritual and physical movement, spawning a global book tour, an internet reality show, the yoga alliance accredited Pranashama Yoga Institute, 30 Day Yoga Teacher Trainings in Bali, Pranashama Yoga Studio opening on the Isle of Man (near UK) there is a great deal of support coming in from all over the world to allow these messages to reach as many readers as possible.

So over the next 8-10 months, as I travel the globe, I will be posting blogs here on EJ, to share the experiences we have along this live Journey to Joyful interactive global reality experience. The “TV Show” component, at this point, is simply the live events being recorded and shared via youtube and other media sharing platforms so you can be a part of this from anywhere you are in the world. I have stops with yoga retreats, yoga teacher trainings, yoga fire dancing performances and ceremonies scheduled in Mexico (where I am now), Europe, Egypt, Canada, Bali, USA and much more. Many of these places I have never been before, so it will be an adventure that is for sure.

You can see the full schedule for the tour here:

Stay tuned, as I will post as often as possible.

In the expanded edition, I tell even more stories and offer yoga sequences with images to help people heal, balance and transform their life. I include meditations to help them connect with their inner child, an essential aspect to the healing process. Included are real short stories about people who have had their lives transformed through the practice of yoga and self healing. Recipes from the 30DYC Energy Detox Diet that I teach, sanskrit words and phrases translated, poetry, inspirational quotes, wisdom, science, metaphysics and modern application of the East meets West lifestyle in a way that has never been written about before.

If you enjoy Lao Tzu, Osho or Swami Muktananda, you may find this book full of inspiration and many moments of laughter that will open your heart in a new way.

I hope it does for you what it did for my other readers.

You can connect with me and many of them on FACEBOOK.

Blessings and Love to you all ways,

I loved this book Dashama… I remember purchasing this before it was selling on Amazon and you signed it for me. I’d love to get my hands on the revised or extended edition.

You’re book is a treasure indeed. I keep revisiting it from time to time… Just to remind myself of the goals I have set for myself. I feel that this year has been the year where I have shifted my life in the biggest way from feeling stagnant for way too long. Thanks to you and My other favourite teacher: Sadie Nardini… Who writes here at Elephant Journal regularly.

    Welcome to EJ!
