Hugging Yoga – Stretch Your Heart :) xoxo

When my friends at suggested I put out a free challenge for the holidays, immediately I remembered the inspiring video I had watched over and over on youtube about the Aussie who returned home with nothing but the clothes on his back and started the FREE HUGS Campaign a few years ago.

It was amazing. It brought a smile to my heart and I thought to myself — that’s it!

Thus, my Holiday Hugs Challenge was born.

We’ve already gotten a ton of people committed to this. Some have up to 100+ per day!

I think you may like the soundtrack I selected, created by my dear friend and fellow Joyologist Jason Mraz.

We even coined ‘Hugging Yoga’ which is designed to stretch your heart 🙂 xoxo

The back story for me is that I love hugging. I have waited in line several times for hours on end to get one short hug from Amma and it was worth it each time. In my heart I know it has something to do with the loss of my mother and the great healing that takes place when I go heart to heart with people, especially strangers!

I hug just about everyone I meet.

Some people think this is strange.

Some love it.

Some welcome it with open arms.

It’s easy to hug someone you know, but what about a complete stranger?

Are you up for the challenge?

(you don’t actually have to hug any strangers though! Unless you want to 😉

Check out the video and you can CLICK HERE  for the full details on website.

Many blessings to you.

Love! Stretch Your Heart! xoox

  1. I love this, Dashama! Unless someone is giving off a serious don't touch me vibe, I always hug, rather than handshake when I meet someone, greet someone, etc. What a great idea! Shared this on the elephant journal main FB page:)

I love this. It's important for us to stretch our heart muscles from time to time.
