Add This to Your Breakfast & Feel Better All Day.

Is there anyone who doesn’t like cinnamon?!

Sometimes I’ll put a few cinnamon sticks and some orange peel on the stove to simmer just to make the whole house smell cinnamony. Besides being delicious, the addition of cinnamon (as well as other spices) to your diet can be a huge health boost as well:

A few ways to add more cinnamon to your meals:

>>Add to your oatmeal or hot cereal

>>Put a dash in your coffee

>>Sprinkle on root vegetables before roasting (love cinnamon, black pepper and sea salt on my sweet potatoes!).

>>Add to smoothies, especially ones made with sweeter fruits to help balance their glycemic impact.

And my favorite:

End-of-the-World Mayan Hot Cacao:

Serves 2

2 tbsp. raw cacao

1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon

a dash (or more if you are brave) of cayenne pepper

1 tbsp. raw honey

2 cups hot water

milk of choice to taste (great with coconut milk)

Stir it all up and enjoy!
