The Hobbit: worth reading before watching.

If you haven’t read The Hobbit, read it before seeing the movie—that way your imagination will have a first go at creating Tolkein’s world, before the movie solidifies it all for you.

If, like me, you haven’t read The Hobbit for 30 years, re-read it.

Which is the exact reason why you must read any book prior to watching the movie, and when watching a movie you discover is “based on a true story” or is an adaptation of a story, get that and read that. Find out why critics get critical!!!

How about because the book is infinitely superior to the silly movie that picks and chooses what parts to use and which to ignore, while creating entire silly side stories that add nothing.
