The Craigslist Missed Connection of the Century.

I am a hopeless romantic.

Love stories that seem impossible are one of the (many) reasons I believe in magic and fate and deep, unshakable human connection.

This week, a craigslist post surfaced from a man who is looking for his ex-wife.

Married on a whim (for a whopping $30.00), they were married in New York. Annulled three days later, the couple stayed romantically connected for a semester, but lost touch.

That was 25 years ago.

Your first marriage (as I would hope it would be) is unforgettable; and fate brought this lady back to this man in a chance encounter on the L train. Though the connection was missed, the story is no less remarkable or romantic or inspiring.

To the author of this post, I hope you find this piece of your past:

Sara Crolick is whiskey in a teacup. She loves elephants, vegetables, vintage typewriters, Audrey Hepburn and the written word, but not necessarily in that order. She raises two inspiring boys with her mister, who is a bona fide music-maker; this works out nicely, as she happens to also love music. You can connect with her via her site, Conversations with a Human Heart, her author page on Facebook and on Twitter, too.
