Animal abuse is a problem that affects all of us.

Even if we endeavor to practice ahimsa, or non-harm, in our daily lives, even if we aim to bestow peace on every life we touch, the unfortunate fact remains that countless dogs and cats still fall victim to cruelty every single day.

That’s not even considering the suffering that befalls animals in factory farms, which merits its own discussion entirely.

Animal abuse comes in many forms, and the nuances of abuse are not always obvious to everyone. If you want to help protect animals from cruelty—and who wouldn’t?—It’s important to educate yourself about the many forms of animal abuse.
