 An Introduction to Breathing. {Poem}

Sermon_in_the_Deer_Park_depicted_at_Wat_Chedi_Liem-KayEss-1

I heard some of what the Buddha said

When we expel fear
Through the breath
It falls on the ground
And evaporates naturally
So that it cannot be
Taken in as a breath
Unknowingly by
Another person.

And then

When we invite
Compassion
Through the breath
It falls on our hearts
And multiplies naturally
So that it can be
Given away freely
Without diminishing
To every person.

And I was satisfied.
