Stephen Colbert always twists current events into stories that make us fall over with laughter.

Honestly, the politics of midterm elections have been annoying (especially all the never-ending email messages of fear from the Democrats). Over the years, I’ve turned away from politics because I find more satisfaction in my day-to-day actions such as biking my kids to school, and participating in community workshops like painting murals or planting trees.

As of late, I’ve tuned out the political news, but I am blessed with a son who loves politics, and satire, so I overheard this recent video about midterm elections.

Colbert’s clip about elections made me stop, and listen. Sure, I dislike all the political chaos, but I will vote.

I could sum up Colbert’s Report for you, but no one does it better than Colbert (he’ll “Takei” you to the polls).
