Stress.

We all have felt it. And there is only one way to describe it. It sucks.

But, what if stress was a gift from our soul? Just follow me for a minute.

Stress is associated with the adrenal glands.

And adrenals are governed by the Solar Plexus Chakra (wheels  of energy in our body)?

The Solar Plexus is our power center—our core self. It is where our willpower, self-discipline, self esteem and intuition dwell. It is what fuels our passion for life.

When this chakra is strong we have the ability to move forward in life with confidence and power. We have the ability to make conscious choices, then choose to act. We are connected to our intuition, to our higher self that lives in direct connection with whatever or whoever we claim as our higher power (God, Krishna, Buddha, the last fern you meditated by).

We are in a flow where nothing seems to adversely affect us. Life is magical.

But then, the ugly monster of the ego, which also lives in this chakra begins to talk. It says, “You don’t know what you are doing, you are stupid. Who are you to do what you love? You should be suffering like everyone else.”

And so like EEyore, we say oookay, and get sucked into a long list of “shoulds.” Before we know it we have fully succeeded at being stressed out and generally sucking at life.

Still with me? See where the stress came in?

Stress occurs when we step away from our intuition and our purpose. When we turn our back on ourselves. Ouch. It hurts our hearts.

Could I have possibly chosen the awful stress?

Am I consciously choosing to suck at life as my reality?

Well this is actually good news.

If we chose to suck—we can also choose to be awesome.

Awareness is the first step. Bam! Look at us rocking it out!
