Just for Today. {Poem}

Join Elephant Academy

Just for today
Don’t speak to me about your job
What your plan is for next year
Or how you feel about today’s weather

I want to know what your fuel is

What motivates you from the inside out
To get up
And do the things you need to do
To live a soul satisfying life

From the mundane to the mystical
Through the episodes of bliss
To the moments of deep despair

Just for today
Drop the mask
Leave your societal role at the door
And your social status behind

I want to see what is left
What is real
What is true.
