Your inner voice, lady intuition

Do you listen to your inner voice, your intuition or your inner guide?

You may not realise that you do this regularly, when you get an uneasy feeling about someone or a situation this is your inner guide communicating with you.

We don’t always choose to listen. I know I haven’t, when I decide to ignore my inner guide I usually get myself into trouble, or something happens and I think, Janine, why didn’t you listen?

You have to trust that what you feel is right for you. This takes time, and practice but more importantly trust, trusting that you know what is right for you.

Trust that you know what is right for you…

For me, mediation is a great place to start, especially when I use a guided meditation. You are usually asked to visualise a situation or a beautiful scene, and it’s this focus which helps relax your mind. I’m a very visual person, I find this process very easy. However you may find listening to ocean waves, or a running stream is enough.

You can find plenty of guided meditations on you tube or on many free apps. Gabby Berntstein has many free meditation‘s, which are guided and encourage you to visualise, what you’d like to achieve or as a tool to help quiet your mind.

I would advise you to try it for a week, see what comes into your mind.  Start by simply breathing, take a slow and deep in breathe and then a slowly exhale. Focus on your chest moving in and out for 5 or 6 breathes and you will feel instantly calmer, more focused and centred to be able to be still and listen to your inner guide.

Don’t worry if your mind wanders, mediation takes practice, and patience.  However surrender your ego and trust your inner voice , trust your inner goddess and lean into the process.

When you have mastered the art of breathing slowly progress and sit with the silence, quiet your mind and ask a question, and ask for guidance. See what happens and enjoy the process. If meditation isn’t for you, when you have 5 minutes of quiet, while your in the bath, walking or listening to music quiet your mind and simply breathe, see what happens, see what comes to you. For me being still and quiet is the aim, how you get there is a personal choice.

Ask yourself questions, listen to your inner voice and trust the answers you find.
