How to Avoid a Mid-Life Crisis in 5 Simple Steps

Gravity is an awful thing to experience when having a mid-life crisis, and especially when everything is moving south. Remember when you were in your 20’s, and it was all perky and perfect.

You don’t get warning signs, and anything can trigger it: one glance in the mirror, too many candles on your birthday cake, or walking into a club and realizing that you have outgrown the scene.

What happened? You ask yourself as you look in the mirror. Inhaling deeply without making it sound like a sigh, which it actually is. It’s life apparently. It seems that you have become pleasantly plump as you are pulling in your stomach and thinking of the days when you thought you were fat, but you actually you weren’t. Comfortably slipping into your leggings, because skinny jeans no longer do it for you.

They say the mind resets itself when you take a deep breath. Let’s take a few then. It may help.

It’s not about avoiding a mid-life crisis but becoming aware of why you feel you are having one. Your emotions are a key factor: thinking about what you did and did not do. What you could have done differently and if it’s still possible to obtain what your soul is yearning for. It’s never too late, and you are never too old to reach your goals, but if you feel and think that it is, then guess what? You are.

There’s this saying: those who matter don’t mind, and those that mind don’t matter. Once this realization comes to the forefront, you will become wise beyond words and will allow your inner-child to come out and play. It’s true: age is just a number on a scoreboard, and it doesn’t determine the dos and don’ts of your life.

When one zooms into our biological makeup, you are on a subatomic level pure energy and light, and the law of the universe states that what you put in you will get back. Therefore, you are a master at manifesting without realizing it.  You are then able to use this energy to create the life that you desire.

Allow us to rewind. What do you observe when you’re young?

You look up to your parents. They know everything. You are taught to respect your elders. You cannot help but notice they are dinosaurs, and you catch yourself saying: “I don’t want to ever get that old.” As if you have no choice in the matter.

It’s simple: it’s a belief. Growing up, growing old. We are all taught beliefs. We don’t question them as our elders know best. Especially beliefs that teach us the cycle of life: Grow up, get a job, find a wife/husband, and have children. You have followed the blueprint of life and did everything right.

Looking back and upon reflection, its dawned upon you that it’s not all it’s cracked up to be.

How to Avoid a Mid-Life Crisis in 5 Simple Steps

  1. Start by thinking about what you believe is true. The opposite is also true.
  2. Change those beliefs, and practice it through visualizing what you do want, instead of what you don’t want.
  3. Don’t allow the opinions and beliefs of others to affect you negatively. That’s their belief
  4. If it feels good. Do it. You won’t have the calling if you weren’t meant to have or achieve it.
  5. There is no right or wrong.
