Sometimes you come across music that is almost too good.
When it’s so good it’s painful.
I guess when I clicked on a Tracy Chapman cover of the classic Ben E. King song, “Stand By Me,” I should have expected bone-chilling, tear-jerking brilliance.
It’s one of my favorite timeless love songs. And Tracy Chapman is definitely one of my favorite singer-songwriters.
So, needless to say, this performance of “Stand By Me” did not disappoint. Chapman performed the song in 2015 on the Late Show with David Letterman.
I think I’m gonna have this on repeat for the foreseeable future:
