Acceptance Creates Freedom, Miracles and Magic

I was doing the 21 Day Abundance Challenge created by Deepok Chopra.   I was listening to Day 11:  the Law of Least Effort.

“But you HAVE to work hard,”  I thought while I listened to the meditation.  “That can’t be right.  Maybe it works for other people, but it hasn’t worked for me.  The harder I work, the less I seem to accomplish.”

For years I’ve wanted to generate an income doing what I love – empowering people to create lives that they love and discovering and exploring new ways to create freedom.  This would enable me to eventually retire from my sales job – knocking on business doors at age 60 is kind of exhausting.

Being at home during the covid 19 crisis was the perfect opportunity too get my business started since my sales job is on hold.   For the past 6 weeks I’ve worked really hard.

I’ve been writing, blogging, recording videos, and even published a book.  I also started doing Facebook Live events.  I work with people helping them create 90 day plans.  I know I create value – they are empowered and really get in touch with their passion and greatness.  They are excited about their future and what they are going to accomplish in the next 3 months.

It’s been really fun and beneficial for the people I’m working with.  AND, I have not made a single dollar doing it.

Lying in my bed listening to the meditation, I was a bit sour.   My brain was arguing with the recording.  “This is not working for me.  Nothing is happening.  I don’t believe this Law of Least Effort.”

I listened to the meditation a second time.  This time I heard something I had missed.

“We can do less and accomplish more.  But first we must practice acceptance.  The more readily you accept the circumstances of your life as they are in this moment, the easier your life becomes.  When you struggle against this moment, you are actually struggling against the entire universe.  And while you have the intention for your life to change in some way, accepting it as it is right now places you in the position to attain your goals.”

“Accept all people and circumstances in your life, exactly as they are.  Take responsibility for your life without blame knowing everything is as it should be.    When we act in harmony with nature, and motivated by love, we can create the success and good fortune we desire with effortless ease…………”

Oh.  That’s what I missed, I thought.  Acceptance.  I’ve been thinking things SHOULDN’T be the way they are.  I SHOULD have figured this out already.  I SHOULD be making money already.   This crisis SHOULD definitely be over by now.  Things SHOULD NOT be this way.  This is not OK.

Could I accept things the way they are?  Could I accept the good and the bad?

I thought about it.  I closed my eyes and started breathing deeply.  I must have dozed off.

When I woke up, my body felt different.  I was relaxed.  My back no longer hurt.  I wasn’t annoyed.  Life seemed ok the way it was.  And, my resistance to the Law of Least Effort was gone.

And that day a miracle happened.  A stranger who had somehow found and read my book, found my website and messaged me.  She wanted to know if I could coach her.  I couldn’t believe it.  She had found me.

And then, people who had not responded to me two weeks before started texting me.  When can I work with you?  they asked.

By accepting what is, somehow the universe changed.  It doesn’t seem possible, but it really happened.

Take a look at your current situation.  Can you accept what is as what’s so?  Can you give up blaming the Corona Virus, yourself, your family, your parents or whoever you might be blaming?  Can you give up making yourself or others wrong?

If you can truly forgive and accept your now, magic can happen.  It’s not easy, but it’s very rewarding.

Stay safe and healthy.  And let me know if I can help you in any way.  I love to create freedom for people to create lives they love.
