Surrendering ourselves doesn’t have to mean giving up on a battle that you could have won. Sometimes – most times, surrendering ourselves from toxic environments and mindsets gives the white flag a new meaning – a blank slate. You paint your new picture and fly it nigh, let all the negative energy find another home, and get lost in the wind.
I ask you: what do you surrender to today? Even for just a second, let go of a battle you don’t want to fight any longer.
For me, I am surrendering self-harming images posted on social media that give men, women, and children a false label to look up to.
