A Letter to Self for our Darkest Days.

The Darkness is not doomed even when it feels never-ending.

Tonight take a moment to sit outside and look at the darkness in the night. Why fight the dark when you know the sun will rise again? It is a passing of time into the horizon.

There are many things in life you cannot control. This doesn’t make you powerless. It makes you powerful when you release your need for control.

When you wake up in the morning, take a moment to see the sunrise in the morning sky. The birds are singing, and you can hear the wind whisper through the leaves of the trees. Nature will remind you that there resides plenty of wisdom within you, over here in your heart. Can you feel it?

This heart beating within you is resilient. It has been through many challenges. And it remains whole even on the days when it feels shattered to pieces like stars fragmented in the night sky.

Suffering exists wherever you go, and so it continues to exist within you. The darkness is not a punishment. It is a teacher that reveals what you previously suppressed. No matter what you do, the suffering won’t just go away. You cannot get rid of it. For a change, allow it to stay. There is enough room within your compassionate heart.

You will continue to shine, and you shall rise again like a Phoenix rises from the ashes. The transformative process you are going through can bring up fears and unhealed wounds. It is essential to listen to your heart and intuition during times of transformation. Allow the wisdom within you to guide you through the times of despair.

You are a warrior, my love. You have been through many challenges, and you are still here, alive today. There is no need to punish yourself any longer. Faith will reveal to you that you are exactly where you need to be. Today it is okay to feel whatever you are feeling. Allow yourself to feel the anger, sadness, and pain. You have the right to feel the way you do.

The only way out is through.

Does the sun shine brighter,
on a sunny day,
or are we deceived,
by the clouds hiding its rays?

Does the sun stop shining,
in the middle of the night,
or is it obscured from our sight?

The darkness will fade,
while the light within you,
continues to shine.

Even on your darkest days,
You are no less,
Divine.
