Juneteenth thinketh

From my understanding at the time of the civil war women owned slaves. In fact at 40%, they owned pretty close to half. The concept that women weren’t allowed to own property is wholly unfounded and rediculous.

At the end of the civil war close to half of a million men had died. Now a large part of that was from disease, but the disease was the side effect of direct involvement in warring activities. The number of women who died in the civil war is around 100.  You can do the math in your head.

A wonderful and talented black jazz musician recently told me that Feminism was a physco drama between white women and white men. Oh Kay. I think otherwise, but he also didn’t block me on Facebook or call me names. We shared our delight at our difference and in the common appreciation for thought.

It did make me think new thoughts, like what is the racial breakdown of the 100 women who died in the civil war. I read of particular women who dressed up as men and were good marks(men), and nurses who were casualties, but somehow I assumed they were whiteys. I apologize. Feminism is the art of winning and convincing the loser he won by cheating. Next will come the demand for reparations, oh equality, thou art a bitter mistress. I say men should sit out the next war, be one of 5000 war dead and pull in the lion’s share of the spoils. Pass the Equal Responsiblities Act.
