Why I love Walking Through Nature

OK, guys and pals, do you ever take a walk? What does that mean to you? Is walking just fun and enjoying nature, or is walking just a core for you because you need to get somewhere? Or someone obligated you to walk with them a lot, but you hadn’t time to do so?

I love walking in nature, mountains, parks, you name it, but I don’t need to do it every day for kilometres. When I want to go for a walk, then I want to plan for this trip weeks before, and I need to stick to the plan. I don’t have to do it every dingle day or every week, but once in a while is more than fine for me.

On the other hand, just a small walk through the woods, spontaneously, feels amazing too!! When I walk in the weekends for about a few hours, I feel incredible inspired afterwards. Inspired to play the violin, inspired to write articles, inspired to do anything that has any interest to me.

When I am in nature walking through beautiful fields, I realized how much nature affects my mood, but I didn’t realize how much impact it had on my well-being. You just need to feel it. The longer I am in nature, the more I love it, the more I want to feel it. I don’t really know how to describe it, but it feels relaxed.

When I walked through nature as a little kid, I liked it very much, I tried to find new things through all the leaves. I just wanted to know more about species living on earth.

Especially with my young children, I love to go into nature with them. Let them explore the same things I explored when I was a young child. But I also realized, the older they get, the more they want to stay home and play or be with their friends. I totally get that, but sometimes, I wish I can convince them the benefits of being outside in nature.

Since a few years, I love walking in nature again, after I was kind of obligated by my parent to go with them often. Now I love it. Every year, I am going with my family and make a walking holidays. Mostly in Germany. I love nature there. The mountains, the streets, the little villages. But I also love it to exchange the walking days with days walking relaxed through the villages and the cities.

As I am Dutch, and thus living in The Netherlands, I also want to explore my own country much more. There are so many hidden gems. When I see something beautiful, I want to know everything about it and even the history of that place. I can totally get lost into searching the place, history and all that matters.
