You might have seen Nandi Bushell performing with the Foo Fighters earlier this year.
After meeting up with several musicians covering their songs, she published her first original. Bushell teamed up with Tom Morello’s son Roman to write a song on climate change.
Some of us know Morello as the guitarist of Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave, others know him as an activist for unions, and now, we see him as the proud father of his talented son Roman.
And as if this wasn’t already enough prominent support, Jack Black and Greta Thunberg also joined the project.
The song’s message is much-needed, the instrumentals are mindblowing, and it is heartwarming to see this new generation of talented musicians sharing their voices and skills with the world.
Being an activist for climate change and being the cool kid at school are not exclusive anymore—something Lisa Simpson would have dreamed of.
Let’s hope they will inspire a generation of musicians to speak up on topics that actually matter and use their creativity to be the voice of activists around the globe.
