Understand your Energy, Expand your Life: A Series on Making Human Design Simple

Part 1: What is Human Design and why does it matter?

The unpredictable state of the world today has so many seeking inner stability and asking the big questions:

Who am I? What is my purpose? How do I manifest the life I want?

These seem like very deep and daunting questions, but I’m here to share that we each have a unique roadmap that can provide answers and point us towards the aligned life of our dreams…

…one where we can stop being the person we think we should be and become the person we truly are.

If you haven’t yet heard about Human Design, it’s only a matter of time before you are drawn to this trending self-knowledge and guidance system. It overshadows any personality-profiling test that exists because its results don’t rely on pre-determined questions that can result in variable or subjective answers. Instead, using only your birth date time and location, Human Design creates a genetic ‘blueprint’ that maps out the journey of a lifetime with our specific opportunities, strengths, vulnerabilities and purpose.

Developed in 1987, Human Design is a synthesis of astrology, the I Ching, the Kabbalah (Tree of Life), the chakra system, and quantum physics, some of which have existed for thousands of years. Human Design is the first to bring them all together for a more complete picture of who we are on the inside AND the way we are designed to interact, or exchange energy, with the world around us.

The beauty of Human Design is that it is not a rule book that tells us how to live, but an experiment in integrating the information we learn from it and ‘feeling’ the truth of it in our bodies.

What do I mean by this?

Well, many who learn about their design for the first time feel a physical sense of understanding or relief in their body, confirmation that what they have felt or known all along is true and correct, despite what they may have been told by the world around them.

Others find that aspects of themselves they have judged or tried to change are actually the very traits that are their superpowers. It is incredibly validating for people to feel ‘seen’ in this way.

Human Design shows us that we are not all meant to operate the same way, which is why following other people’s advice or path to success rarely achieves the desired effect. We are each a perfectly designed piece of the bigger puzzle and the most powerful thing we can do is unlock our inner wisdom; let go of the expectations the world places on us; and leave the path of conformity to become our truest selves.

In learning to love and accept ourselves as we are, we also increase our capacity to love, honor and appreciate the unique expression of those around us, ultimately making us better humans and transforming the world into a better place.

I want everyone to experience this so that they can live their best life. My goal is to do this by making Human Design simple, because that’s how it was meant to be!

It was never meant to be a dogma taught to you by a “guru.”

It was never meant to be a rule book to follow or something to stick you in a box and tell you who you should be.

When most people come to HD, they get trapped in the knowledge, because nobody is teaching the experiment.

The experiment is what I’m committed to teaching. I will never pretend to be the guru with all the answers, I will never tell you who you are, but what I will do, is help people understand how to run their OWN experiment. I live my own every day.

Human design is our quantum roadmap for fulfilling our purpose and finding joy, abundance and love. And it is completely unique to each individual. We will dive into the specifics of how you can begin understanding and living your own design as this series progresses. You can start by finding your chart here.

I’m going to be sharing some of my own story and my best advice for aligning to your design in a simple way.
