Many of you half-know, or know-know, or don’t know because it’s not your job to know, but know this:

…in just the last 8 years, Big Tech has taken over our once wild and independent internet.

But it doesn’t have to be! You can stay on Instagram and Facebook if you’re still there, and TikTok or whatever you enjoy. But if you just write once a week, or once a month on Elephant, and share it to your community, we could turn this around.

Elephant is, today, 2023, one of the last great independent, mission-not-just-shortterm-profit- driven web sites. And I’m constantly saddened that more of us don’t use it. Many still do, and many read and subscribe, and if many more of us joined, we could pay many more writers, and the virtuous cycle would revolve and help us all wake this world of ours up into kindness.

Which is urgent.
