This week Waylon sat down with Elephant’s own Nicole Cameron: writer extraordinaire and managing editor at Elephant Journal. They talked about her average workday, dogs, and the “challenges” of the last year in indie media. This should be a good watch for any writer or reader at Elephant curious about some of the inner workings.

Waylon: What’s your position at Elephant?

Nicole: I am the Managing Editor.

Waylon: And how many years have you been at Elephant now?

Nicole: Oh God, that’s math. Um, it is getting to be hard math because it’s been a long time. I think I hit seven years this past November. So we’re coming up in year eight.

Waylon: Seems so much longer to me.

Nicole: I thought it was like less time than that. I didn’t realize seven years had passed so quickly.

Waylon: I feel like we’ve worked together since like 1993.
