113 Words to a Friend who Died by Suicide.

You wore a beautiful mask, my friend.

We saw smiles and laughter.

We saw beauty, positivity, and generosity.

We saw a love for serenity and nature.

We saw a man who cherished his family and friends.

You wore a beautiful mask, my friend.

We did not see the darkness behind your hopeful eyes.

We did not see your layers of pain.

We did not see your tears.

We did not feel the heavy weight of your loving heart.

You wore a beautiful mask, my friend.

Now your soul is free to fly.

Now your eyes can see the light.

Now your face can feel the warmth of the sun.

Now you can breathe.
