This role is for a stand-alone business manager:
- accounting & bookkeeping specialist responsible for monthly close,
- bank reconciliations,
- revenue reports;
- bi-monthly payroll including US-based employees and overseas independent contractor payments;
- business filing,
- agency correspondence,
- registrations and fees;
- preparation of monthly management reports,
- and annual budget preparation and variance reporting.
This is a 40 hours/week salaried position: pay based on experience. Position starts immediately.
Candidate must have:
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to work without direct supervision, and efficiently manage tasks and time.
- Ability to process stress/burnout in a mindful way.
- An interest to commit long-term (minimum two years with a desire to stay and grow in the position for many years to come).
Job Responsibilities:
- Direct all aspects of accounting operations, oversee all transactions related to general ledger, receivables, payables, payroll and financial reporting. Ensure records are maintained in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Coordinate, prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports.
- Analyze company’s financial results with respect to profits, trends, costs, and compliance with budgets. Issue regular status and ad hoc reports to senior management.
- Develop and maintain all necessary accounting policies and systems, including general ledger and financial reporting.
- Assist leadership team in financial planning and results management. Work with other team members to understand revenue and cost drivers and define appropriate reports for tracking.
- Manage all tax planning and compliance with all required federal, state, local, payroll, property, and other applicable taxes.
- Manage cash flow.
- Bi-monthly payroll processing and recording journal entries.
- Health Insurance and benefit administration.
- Responsible for all business filings, agency correspondence, registrations and fees.
- Provide strategic guidance around capital financing options to support company growth needs.
- Develop and coordinate all relationships with lending/financial institutions.
- Manage relationships with insurance providers and ensure compliance.
- Other finance and administrative duties as required.
Ideal candidate will have:
- Degree in Finance, Business or related field preferred.
- 5 years relevant experience.
- Exceptional attention to detail, joy working with numbers.
