This morning a little bird told Abilene and me that we should start a Revolution of Recycling,
so we began to look around for things to use…
We found some crazy stories,
some spare parts,
music we haven’t heard in awhile, but knew all the words to.
If we were going to make a story that would ignite a Recycling Revolution,
it would be a song*
There are people I know,
who love the earth…
and it loves them back!
When I meet one of these people, I make them cuffs as quickly as possible!
(then give them their cuffs)
…and sometimes there is singing!
The Revolution would definitely have empowering slogans!
(It’s a good thing I already made one!)
and symbols that we can rally behind!
It might turn out to be a bit of a circus,
but it would mostly be about looking back,
and looking into our pockets to see what we have collected!
We can repurpose the things that serve us,
and recycle the things that don’t.
It’s just a wish…
and a prayer
from the songbirds, because…
