Breastfeeding is not a crime: Beyonce breastfeeds Blue Ivy in public. {No photo!}

Via on Mar 14, 2012

First of all, this is really none of our business, and we don’t really do pop crazy coverage a la TMZ, and we’re not doing photos here.

But given the pushback against moms and breastfeeding nationally, and the many moms who don’t breastfeed at all, Beyonce here is my heroine.

Beyoncé’s bold move comes amid a large movement by fellow mothers to destigmatize breastfeeding in public.

The issue at hand, that women are discriminated against for breastfeeding in public, has led a whole legion of “lactivists” to organize demonstrations in protest of those who want to deny mothers their right.

Maybe Beyoncé’s decision will help change a few minds in favor of “breast is best.”

Here’s more. Here’s images through history.
