The Problem with those who have a Problem with the KONY 2012 / Invisible Children viral video.

Yes, I had a problem. Now, I see that part of our knee-jerk reaction against this inspiring video is…our problem.

How can you see this as a defense of the video? Here's a better video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KLVY5jBnD-E&fe

a good discussion from yesterday's hard knock radio, http://www.kpfa.org/archive/id/78685 in short: no discussion of Ugandan history nor voices, no Africaom/China in Africa

I agree with Daniel. The Daily Show again does great satire with a message. But the message is a tad different than what I expected from the headline.

That said, I've really learned a lot about the Kony issue through Ele. Kudos Waylon-and-gang for putting up plenty of info on both sides.

Thanks, Mark, good to hear from you. I did think this was a push-back against the overwhelming pushback against the overwhelmingly positive initial reaction to the KONY 2012 video.

I've personally published two posts detailing criticisms, linked above. ~ Waylon

dig a little deeper.. kony2012 is not what you think. This is to push more war crimes by the british and US into africa, and to push out china from continuing to build relationships with central africa. Don't be a sheep and read outside of the fairytales.

Thanks, anonymous friend. We have dug deeper, if you'd dug deeper you'd know that.

Kudos to Jon Stewart for, once again, setting the record straight about Invisible Children's Kony 2012 campaign. I was shocked and appalled by the media push-back on this campaign, especially when you heard the absurd rationales. There were complaints that Invisible Children could have used the money it raised to fund typical economic development processes. Their were accusations that Invisible Children had turned Joseph Kony into a fad. The criticism of Invisible Children has been so disingenuous that it has inadvertently exposed the country-club mentality of the so-called media elite as yet one more 1% that needs to be put in its place by the 99%.

Thanks for the effort and time that you put towards this tutorial. How can I go about uploading my local Joomla site to a subdirectory not the root folder. Anything in particular to keep in mind as far as database setting. The idea is to have the new joomla site available online for the client to proof while the original site is still available for the general public.Your help is much appreciated. Thanks
