Tom Poor Bear, Vice President of the Oglala Sioux Tribe—and the first person on the face of the planet to prompt President Obama to speak publicly about TransCanada’s toxic tar sands pipeline—is introduced in this clip by Renewable Rider, Tom Weis.

The day before the first televised presidential debate, on the steps of the Capitol in Denver, indigenous leaders challenged Obama and Romney on Keystone XL and other critical issues affecting indigenous peoples.
