Folks ask Vegans this Question from time to time.

Via on Jun 3, 2013

Alternate responses: “I’d just eat whatever the pig’s eating.” Or, “yes, but then I’d probably eat you, too, if I had to” (which puts them in the shoes of the animal, leading to empathy, hopefully).

I need to memorise this! Awesome.

Uh… was this taken directly from Reddit comments? lovely

I link and credit Reddit many, many times, sending them tons of our readers (not that they need it). I'm an active fan and member. This should have been linked, amen, but you can see that this image is linked to Imgur.

Huff Post right now is pushing the North Pole story, for example, which came from the Atlantic, and that Reddit stole (borrowed), putting on Imgur. So there's loose linking on all sides, and much less ours. That said, you're right–I should and can do even better than what we do.

Even if this scenario ever happened (which it won't), I still wouldn't. If I ate the pig, I'd be alone to die after I had killed him for my own survival, ultimately still having it end in my own death not too long after. I'd rather have a friend to go with peacefully. :)
