Yay! The people are getting the message that bottled water is overpriced, usually just tap water, and the plastic bottles are horrible for our environment.

So what’s the mindful thing to do? That’ll save you money, and be better for your health? Buy a non-Nalgene non-cancer-causing permabottle, and fill it with filtered water from home each morn. Take with you everywhere.

Newsday.com reported that $1.49 can buy you a 20 ounce water bottle or 1,000 gallons of tap water in Suffolk County…kink of a no brainer, huh?

Help the environment, help yourselves. Get a metal reusable water bottle!

Thanks for the great post! I have been thinking about the bottled water issue for a while now. I plan on picking up an eco-friendly coffee cup design I found at the MoMA Design store. http://www.momastore.org/museum/moma/ProductDisplay_I%20Am%20Not%20A%20Paper%20Cup_10451_10001_48661_-1_11515_11516_null_shop_

You are right… BUT using a home filter is still extremely wasteful (are you going to recycle the individual parts of it all one day?); This is still excessive living because tap water in the united states is ridiculously cleaner than you need it to be. Examine the EPA standards et coetera. I am against fluoridation of public waters, though. It is useless.

  4. Another way to carry your water is to buy my sym.blue.ology cobalt blue glass water bottles! They are elegant, ecological, and empowering. Check them out at http://www.symblueology.com You can make Solar Blue Water as recommended in Zero Limits by Dr. Joe Vitale and Dr Ihaleakala Hew Len. The water is also charged with the positive words ala Dr. Emoto, and glass…..this is best for our environment and for our health. Please do your part…..and stay healthy, stay hydrated, stay happy!!
