Ecofashion? We’re talking organic stuffed animals, yummy baby food, vegetable-tanned stylee leather boots (with natural and recycled rubber soles), fair-labor messenger bags (unlike Timbuk2, our old favorite, which is now partly MADE IN CHINA), Simple’s jute and cork shoes, recycled silver necklace courtesy of the lovelely artisans at our favorite boutique (Angie Starr), fair-labor turquoise hoops from Colorado’s own Jezebelle, a best-selling Mission Playground tee (a favorite company of ours, which we first reviewed six months back), Ananas handbag made of Abaca (a variety of the banana), Baby Bandz (handmade by Lucette’s mommy)…even the picnic table is recycled courtesy of ReSource. So go green—get truly conservative—for the sake of the next generation. They’re already here, after all!
