more than a game lebron

What if we could see what famous people were like before they made it?

Telling showing the story of the high school years of a young tike named LeBron James and his childhood pals, More Than a Game is a longheld fantasy come to fruition (what if we could see what people were like before they were famous…Winston Churchill or Napoleon or Alexander the Great or even Magic Johnson…when they were young?). Thanks to the ubiquity of video cameras, we get to watch the real-life story of LeBron’s coming of age.

It’s a movie of equal interest to bball fans and those who just enjoy a good story (I just watched this on netflix with my mom, tonight).

So what did you think? As good as Hoop Dreams?

See I love the NBA, but just get smothered by the LBJ hype. He's a great player, but the constant appointment of him being the greatest ever has been too much for me to handle. When I heard about the movie, I said no way. But now my favorite website — Elephant Journal — is saying watch it. Confusion sets in.

Did they show him getting his Hummer in high school?

BTW, Waylon, I'm still ready to take you on in some ball. Let me get up to Boulder in the next couple of weeks, and it'll be on.
