If Heaven Had a Yoga Class for Dead Hipsters, this is what it would sound like…

Well, the Mayans might have been good at languages, art, architecture and the like, but let’s call a spade a spade—their end-of-days calendar had some issues. We’re all still here, it’s a new year, and the team at Bright Antenna Records is planning on diving into 2013 head first with open minds, open hearts and tons of amazing music as the soundtrack. We begin with today’s playlist, which is pretty dope, if I don’t say so myself.

My yoga instructor kicked my ass so hard last night that I decided to put together a breezy, hip, somewhat mellow collection for today’s class, hoping it would entice her to go easy on us.

Fat chance.

The good news is that these tunes sound like what floating on clouds must feel like. Soft and plush and close to the sun. Heaven. I’m not really sure what else a Mayan or yogi could ask for from a yoga soundtrack.
