Red, burgundy, pink, plum

Orange, bright and pale, peachy hues
Yellow, sunlit and golden, amber
Green, few remain.

Across the landscape
Covering like a calico quilt
Autumn expressions waving subtly
Wind softly rattling branches.

Leaves
Glistening in the sun
Dancing in the breeze, clinging still to trees
Fluttering with delicate wings in the air
Cascading toward the earth

Fall
Nature’s reminder that change
Change is subtle, inevitable.
Colorful in its expression
Affirming in unrivaled beauty.
