You can laugh about it, or you can cry about it.
You can laugh:
At the absurdity.
At the cruelty.
At the stupidity.
At the unfairness
Of it all.
Or you can cry:
At the absurdity.
The cruelty.
The stupidity.
The pain.
The unfairness
Of it all.
I have already cried about it, and my tears didn’t make it better.
I have already cried, and it only left my eyes red and my throat dry and sore.
I cried, and it didn’t fix anything.
And then I laughed:
At the clouds.
At the sadness.
At the tears.
I started laughing, and suddenly the clouds were not so heavy.
The sadness and the tears ran away.
Laughter is no fun
for sadness.
But laughing is better
for me.
So, we can laugh about it, or we can cry about it.
I have already cried about it, and I am done.
Now, my tears have fled in fear.
I am laughing.
