“The key to longevity is to learn every aspect of music that you can.” ~ Prince

The legendary musician, Prince, died today at his estate, in Minnesota, at the age of 57.

2016 has already crushed us with the death of many superstars and today it’s taking away yet another legendary performer.

For me, Prince has been more than just a superstar. He’s a talented musician, composer, and songwriter who stole the hearts of many with his songs. He is one of the biggest pop stars who emerged with Michael Jackson and Madonna in the 80s and 90s.

However, what differentiated Prince from other artists in that he was ahead of his time with his music and fashion style. I still remember the impact he had on me whenever I saw him on TV in his colorful outfits and high heels. Yes, he wore high heels during the 80s which made him yet more unique and classy.

The world mourns his death today as we remember his legendary songs. I love Prince because I simply think that he redefined music and fashion in the 80s. Such legends, even if people weren’t fond of their music, must be praised for their creativity and the love they won from the world.

We must remember them because they offer us inspiration and a great push to flourish in what we do best.

Prince, you permeated the greater part of my childhood. Like you said, you are music, and you’ll always be. We only hope that the ride you are about to take right now will be as pleasant.

You only physically died, however, your music shall forever be played and listened to.

You are one of the music legends whose songs will abide. They will pass from one generation to another reminding the world what real talent is.

Prince, your death is just another reminder of how fragile and short this life is. It is another subliminal message from the universe telling us to pursue what we love and to astonish the world just as you did.

May you RIP.
