Removing Excuses One Day At A Time To RISE

If you can dream it, you can do it. But you have to take action.

You can dream it, think it, and say it all day everyday but if you don’t “do” something to work toward that dream, you will never achieve it.

What if I sat on the sofa eating donuts every day and said, “One day, I’ll be a bodybuilder.” What would you tell me?  It is obvious that if I continue my current actions, I would only be leading myself further away from my goal. If I got off the sofa, however, and began eating healthy meals and exercising; then I would be leading myself toward my goal. Eventually, my actions would bring me closer and closer until it would actually become an achievable dream.

There is a line that Jen Sincero, author of You Are A Badasssaid that couldn’t be more true, “If you’re serious about changing your life, you’ll find a way. If you’re not, you’ll find an excuse.”

We all continually allow excuses to get in the way of our goals. Seriously, I have learned that every action not taken is because of excuses.  These paralyzing excuses can be linked to many things such as deeply rooted issues or just fear in general. Fear can sometimes be perceived as laziness. Don’t mask the issues or worries that are holding you back; overcome them! You can become stronger than your excuses.

Before you can reach your business goals, think about what excuses you have been hiding behind. Many people tell themselves that it will be difficult, which sounds viable but, at the same time, that’s a big excuse used to discourage you from going through with your actions. At what point do you know that it’s going to be difficult?  Odds are you can’t see into the future (bummer I know) so stop predicting this journey to be hard and freakin’ go for it! How often have you psyched yourself out and created every excuse as to why you shouldn’t do something then, when it was all said and done, and thought, ‘Oh, that wasn’t so bad’?

Ask yourself, “Do I really want to have a successful business? Am I up for the challenge of working for myself?” I hope it’s a big ole’ YES! Then say bye-bye to your excuses. Tell yourself right now at this very moment, “I own my life. All excuses are gone and I will get off my ass and take action!”

Try this with me. Close your eyes and take a deep breath in and a deep breath out. I want you to look through the eyes of someone that has your ideal life, not at them – through them. What do they see? What do they feel?

How does this make you feel?

Ask yourself what is it that I need to let go of in order to let in? How can I realize I am this someone that I am living through at this moment? Take some time and journal on this.

You need to see that you don’t need to lose something in order to gain something else. You need to see that you can have it all; success, health, happiness, wealth, and love. There is nothing you NEED to lack in or struggle with, that’s all the mind game.

“I am right where I need to be.” <– Live in the NOW, the present moment of your life. No matter what you define at this moment your present life as, this how you get to where you want to become.

You are worthy.
You are enough.

Now go get ‘em! Go conquer your excuses and take action in your life!
