Birthing our Inner Warrior.

We must remember that the great battle is not against each other—what matters is the battle between the ego and our authentic self.

The ego can be a hindrance or our greatest guide to our warrior self.

To be a warrior is an honor and a privilege. It is a sacred path on the road to serve, and it requires surrendering to death. Death does not just happen at the end of life; death happens when we come into completion.

In truth, we experience death several times in a lifetime. Each time we die, a new part of us is rebirthed.

I deeply resonate with this quote:

“Warriors are not born and not made. Warriors create themselves through trial and error, pain and suffering, and their ability to conquer their own faults.” ~ Unknown

The path is not easy, and it’s not meant to be. It’s meant to break us open so we can discover who we are. It’s here to help us come home to our authentic self.

To come home to love, and to help others arise—isn’t this why we are here?

We are meant to break through our addictions. To find our way to love rather than avoidance. Ego death is necessary; shadow work is imminent when coming into the light.

We are all warriors in some way. Why do we gravitate toward superheroes in movies? Perhaps it’s to break free from the last version of ourselves that no longer resonates.

COVID-19 is breaking the heart of humanity open. Sh*t. Just. Got. Real. And there is no turning back. We cannot unlearn what we are learning today. We will never be the same after this, and this is a good thing.

Our inner warrior is emerging in the following ways:

>> Strength. We are stronger than we might have thought. The universe will never present us with something we’re not ready for. This is your time, my time, our time.

>> Growth. Planting the seed is the first step. The fruit will come later.

>> Endurance. We must be present in the eyes of the unknown. It’s a marathon, not a sprint.

>> Boundaries. Releasing the weakest parts of ourselves and reinforcing the foundation.

>> Love. It is why we exist. At the end of the day, this is all that matters. Choose love.

>> Forgiveness. Perhaps it’s an old or current relationship that is triggering our not-so-shiny parts. Forgiveness is the fastest way home to compassion. Once achieved, the redirection can occur.

>> Creation. The magic has always been within us. It lies in the depth of where our soul meets our hearts. Surrender, again and again, to discover what the spirit is saying.

Only through the darkness can we see the light. Keep going, my fellow human. Embrace the reflections we see today as the next versions of ourselves emerge. Find comfort in knowing the warrior within is being created, now, at this moment.
