Beauty is in the eye of the beholder…until

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder…
Until we listen to the media, others words of projection or turn old enough to look into the mirror with others voices in our head. And these voices become to feel like they are our voices and we see that we are not everyone in the magazines and media and we then think we are not therefore beautiful enough, just as we are. Even though we are told everybody should be beautiful enough, just as they are, the words and message we receive do not confirm this. Instead, we are reminded we do not reflect ABC….Oh how I wish I could… How I wish I could have been more curvy, not turn red faced, be more like the ideals, be able to be more beautiful for others eyes. However, what I wish far more than that is to be able to turn back time and never hear the comparisons of beauty that stole my joy….Because I thought I had to be a number on a scale, a body in a magazine and a different reflection in a mirror, but I wasn’t and can’t. Now all I wish is my daughter and all children to grow up differently then what we did. I want the world to see the art in each of us and celebrate each of us in every corner of the universe, so everyone can know they are beautiful. And for anyone who was ever made to question their magnificence realize those that question it, did not know true beauty when they saw it.
