Marjorie Taylor Greene wants to Debate AOC on the Green New Deal.

After opposing the “Green New Deal” for two years, Marjorie Taylor not only committed to finally reading it—she also wants to debate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez publicly.

I am not sure why Marjorie Taylor Greene (MTG) felt the urge to admit that she never actually read the plan she kept talking about for the last two years.

I would give anything in the world to find out how Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) reacted when she heard about MTG challenging her for a debate.

As an observer, I have to admit that seeing these two women have a debate is something I was looking forward to for a long time—and looking at first reactions on Twitter, I am not the only one feeling this way.

I sometimes wish I had the self-confidence that MTG displays by asking for a debate with AOC. So far, she got away with posting baseless rants on social media, but how does she believe that this debate will make her look smart or improve her ratings in any way?

It will be more than interesting to find out which journalist puts him or herself into the position of hosting this clash of two women who couldn’t be any further away from each other when it comes to any given topic.

MTG already set the tone for the potential debate after proudly announcing that she read all 14 pages of it.

We will see how this story develops, but it seems that AOC already agreed to join this controversial debate.

Maybe this is the last attempt of ultra-conservatives to ridicule a more than needed plan to save the planet from climate change?

Maybe MTG heard that the woman who might win the elections in Germany this fall, Annalena Baerbock, already announced her support of the “Green New Deal?”

Or maybe, just maybe, this is the end of MTG as a politician—we will find out soon.
