Silthering Wild Spirit She. {Poem}

{*Did you know you can write on Elephant? Here’s how—big changes: How to Write & Make Money or at least Be of Benefit on Elephant. ~ Waylon}

~

I lay here listening to Her advancement,

the growling and moaning of

slithering Wild Spirit, She

has journeyed over oceans to get here,

consumed strength from Seas swells,

and pillaged courage from Clouds,

yet her arrival is met with the closing of

shutters; the snuffing of porch lights.

Untouchable, Her taunting threats

find no rival as dark still Night

hides behind a Dawn thought.

She rips at the fabric of time

with her teeth as She slides over Fell,

breathes down the neck of Glen

sending shivers over the skin of Heather

Her song, a landslide in slow motion,

eviscerates Night as drool whips against

stone walls and windows—then pools

to be drunk by golden grasses.

My shell quakes with a lack of faith,

yet I know She cannot touch me here.

Safe, calm, kind am I,

no matter how she wails

protected by the warm

blanket of belief that wraps me.
