Help For Your Aching Back From A Chiropractor

If your back is hurting, you need to see a chiropractor. I might be biased since that is my profession, but I’ve seen enough people feel night-and-day better after getting an adjustment to treat the root cause of their pain.

However, there is something simple that you can do on your own that will often help reduce or even eliminate your pain. In fact, doing this can cause your vertebrae or joint to go back into place because what I’m going to tell you to do can take away the pressure of being pulled by a muscle.

Stretch. Yes, the answer sounds simple but so many people admit to me that they don’t do it. If you are having lower back pain, one of the best things you can do is to stretch your hamstrings and calf muscles. Dedicate yourself to stretching those areas at least twice a day and in the majority of cases, you will see your pain dramatically decrease.

Every day that I am at my practice, I see people who have misalignments in their spines because of overly tight muscles. As a chiropractor in Franklin, Tennessee, I can adjust their back to take the pressure of that area, but if the person doesn’t do some stretching, the odds are that the muscle will just pull that vertebrae or joint right back out. If I adjust someone who stretches regularly after the adjustment, they will almost always hold their adjustment longer and report much less pain. They’ll also often gain mobility and energy.

If you want extra credit, and since this is your body and quality of life you should, add walking if you aren’t already. Stretch before and after you walk and the two combine together to make your back function at much higher levels. This will help to decrease your pain, often times to near nothing, and make you feel better all over your body. It’s amazing to watch people apply these two simple things and see amazing results. I wish more people took it seriously and I hope that you will as well.
