This woman is a contortionist, this is not an accurate portrayal of yoga.

    Speechless.

  3. candicegarrett says:

well lets see…is she practicing any of the bigger philosophies of yoga? Meditation, breath awareness, the 8 limbs? If not, then it's just gymnastics.

Posted her video to my shared blog with yoga and pilates enthusiasts. Thanks. So not the point of yoga.
Have practiced among those who could stretch into tomorrow (they HAVE to, to gain benefit), and they do so with intention and derive the stilling of the mind, insofar as they need to go further than us mere mortals …

All I could think while looking at that picture is "Sheesh, that looks like one dirty fridge." Oh, mind…stay on topic..

  6. Jenna says:

Yoga is more than putting yourself into odd postitions. It's about calming of the mind, breathing…this isn't yoga… cool trick

Whats up with EJ seems more like a tabloid lately….

Thanks, friend. That might be a reflection, however, of what you choose to read or click on (or comment upon). We have 100s of "Boring," "serious," important articles a week…just shared something on nuclear remembrance of Hiroshima, for example…and often our readers don't click on or remember or comment or complain about them. They just ignore, or forget them.

  10. loverly says:

It's called acrobatics. It's not yoga.

  11. kayleigh4peace says:

I'm confused by both articles. Is she using the word "yoga" to describe what she's doing? Because it looks to be contortionism and I see no mention of yoga in the video link included in "Yoga Extreme III". She can't be judged as missing the point of yoga if she isn't claiming to be doing yoga in the first place. And even if she is…we ought to be mindful of our judgements, anyway.

  12. Angela says:

This is silly and makes me want to stop following EJ.

The photo of Rain in the Blue is alluring and gorgeous if a bit on the fetish side ~ Not uplifting or calming to my peace of mind & as I never got to study gymnastics it feels a bit like another bruise on my fading beauty.
