She is always becoming. Despite an apparent freedom, she secretly spends endless hours wishing for a miracle, praying for true love, yearning for an adventure with some romantic ending she only reads about in books.

An adaption from the working project of Michelle Dawson and James Ferrara ~ Naked Henna : Unveiled. This is a modern depiction of  the ancient folklore and history of Henna. Utilizing the vastness of the naked body, Michelle allows the  henna to tell its ancient tale. Referred to as the art of Mehendi, Henna was always used in rituals and ceremonies as a way to bring women together in the name of beauty and transformation while being supported by the deities who supposedly dwelled in the patterning design;

Michelle Dawson is a prolific Body Artist who hails from the Black Dirt region of Upstate NY. She combines the ancient arts of Henna and Yoga as a means of reaching the sacred poise of Body and Mind.
