The context under which these photos are being posted is complete b.s. The photos depicting this model as 30, 40, 50, 60 years old are completely unrealistic and only serve to reinforce our cultural paradigm of aging as being unacceptable. Those photos of her as an older woman do not show any of the actual, visible signs of aging that you'd see on a normal, unretouched woman of that age.

Interesting photo shoot! The 30 year old looks like she's on drugs, though. Still a beautiful lady through all those "years"; makes one think, doesn't it…..?

All it does is test our understanding of socio-cultural stereotypes and trends. The 60+ age group seems to be most appealing, as I seem to associate the power dressing with Christopher Lee and the Jedi.

    Awesome and interesting post Waylon!

Honestly I think they mixed up the 40 and 50…

  6. The french text underneath puts the shoot in context. It's a health campaign against things such as smoking, botox, sun damage etc. The french are trying to get women to protect themselves and their skin rather than fall into traps of what they think society wants them to see.

This French campaign is designed to promote healthy living. The textual context underneath puts it into perspective. – It's encouraging women to look after their skin with ideas such as saying no to smoking, botox, tanning etc, but yes to s…un protection, healthy eating and lifestyles. We definitely have the power to keep our skin looking young, we just have to learn to do it properly, without falling into the trap of what women think society wants them to look like. Yes to healthy skin thanks! :)

This is just silly. Nothing progressive about it. And how is this encouraging women to be healthy? She looks cracked out at 30. And she is showing her cleavage at 40. All this does, as others have said, is continue the objectification of women and send the message that we need to look sexy and young at all ages- young and old. Gross and doesn't seem at all in line with an "enlightened society"
