Meditation. ~ Joseph J. Treubig {Poem}

mindful sit meditate

At first it may feel martian

Cold and foreign

We think, the cause of new dissension

Unreflecting back the good intention

We bring forward to the seated pose—

What was that thought that just arose?”

“What does it show?”

“What if it grows?”

Worry surfaces, doubts linger within the mind in search of consistent breath

And urge release from this latest episodic failure,

Then another voice,

“Sit longer.”

Following this calmer tone

Surrendering to the moment, slowing down

Our little holes, living wounds of flesh and mind

Connect to source light from our Mother and unbind

Spirits to live free and mindfully

Above the sea in harmony.
