My friend David McLaughlin has been hawking Body Balance for years, now. It’s a healthy, organic drink in a plastic bottle (a necessity, I guess, due to shipping) that comes from aloe, and seaweed in pristine Northern waters, so it’s essentially organic. It’s yummy, kind of cherry-ish, and I’ve been drinking it off and on for three years or so, now, in the hopes of making up for any holes due to my vegetarian diet. Most impressively, if true, it’s designed to be easily absorbed by the body, unlike many foods and vitamins…so you get what you pay for.
My only complaint—they ship me six bottles in a cardboard box-full of styrofoam peanuts. With so many compostable, recycled and recyclable packing options, you’d think a natural products company would think inside the box, too. So every month I take my peanuts to a packing store, so they can use ’em. Still, those stryofoam peanuts will be alive and unwell long after your grandchildren are old men and women.
