Dear Friends,

You may have heard recently that I’ve entered to play at the Denver Lilith Fair on July 13th.
This opportunity is amazing for me. The thing is, I need your help to get there, and today is the last day to vote.

Right now my song Wading is at #12 (we were in #1 for the first 2 1/2 weeks but slipped in the last few days, alas) and we need to be in the top 10 today to be considered!

This is a pretty huge dream for me, and could be a step in helping me get to the point where music could be my only job—and I can’t do that with out you.

Here’s my offer:

so the next time you open your browser, please open a tab to (If you’re on Facebook)
or (If you’re not on facebook, you’ll have to register your email address, but it’s quick)

Once you’re in the Denver Channel, please click on the Artists tab first and select Harper Phillips and the Awesomes as your favorite.

The rest of the voting is ongoing, and works like a radio where it will select random entries to ‘battle’ each other. To do this, please just click on the ‘Judge’ tab unfortunately, you can’t just scroll and vote for Harper Phillips, you have to rank other bands randomly until my song ‘Wading‘ shows up. When it does, just Drag the icon over to the Best/Item 1 spot.

You can vote as many times as you so please..! So, please just keep that tab open on your browse today, and keep clicking ‘Wading’ to the number 1 spot (for the other songs, just vote as you see fit).
The upside for you is this: not only will you get my undying love and devotion, (and a big ‘I owe you one’) but If you vote and send me a little note saying that you’re on it, I will put you on a list to receive 2 downloads of 2 new unreleased songs. And If I win, that list of devoted friends I’ll put you on for voting, will turn into a raffle for 2 free tickets to the Denver Lilith Fair stop!

I would also like to take a second to thank you. If it wasn’t for the friendly faces I see at my shows, the people who have written me encouraging notes, the folks who have bought my album and shared it, and pretty much everyone who has given me a hug in the last year, I really don’t know where or who I would be. I am so so so grateful for the part that you have played in that.

  1. Hey, I just stopped by this page via Google and wanted to comment about your entry. I like independent labels and this is a great find. Another page that I frequent is Fifty 100, it's for independent artists too.
